Dear Radio Friends,
The Bright Spot Hour is operating in our 78th year of broadcasting without ever being off the air. It was 78 years ago that my grandfather began the boradcast. By the grace of God, a miracle has been accomplished. I am trusting the Lord for the next 22 years, brining us to the 100th celebration. I will be 77 years of age at the 100th annivarsary celebration, and by the grace of God, I anticipate being alive to celebrate that. Please check the link on this page that will take you to our YouTube channel, where you can find a video of every Bright Spot Hour broadcast. You can also find the Bright Spot Hour on Rumble.
I will be preaching this week, August 8 through 11, 2021 in Elizabethton, Tenn. The Rev. Dr. James Richardson and the good people of the Trinity Baptist Church are always wonderful hosts for this meeting. The church is located on Doe Ave. in Elizabethton, Temmessee. The services will start each evening at 7.00pm, Sunday at 11.00 and 2.00. I appreciate being back in the pulpit and travelling in meetings for the Lord. I fear the long term effects from the "pandemic" on the people of our conutry and the churches across the land.
The Bright Spot Hour can now be heard locally from Easley, South Carolina from WELP 104.3 FM, 1360 kHz. The Bright Spot Hour was on this station in the 1960's and 1970's. I appreciate Wilkins Communications for the opportunity to return to this fine radio station. The program can be heard Monday through Friday at 10:00 am and again at 10:00 pm. I have personally enjoyed hearing the Bright Spot Hour in the night before going to bed. The station can be streamed by looking up WELP in Easley, South Carolina and you will be directed to their site. You can also stream the program from our station of origination, WGCR in Pisgah Forest, N.C. Download their app and hear the program at 9:00 am and pm.
The progress continues the Bright Spot Hour addition to the Real Estate office. The building has been set on the foundation and we are preparing to start tying the roof lines together. This will be a tremendous blessing to the radio work when it is completed.
Please pass the link to the site along to all your e-mail contacts and we can increase our listeners, reaching as many people as we can with the gospel of Christ.
